Anna Forrest
An Indigenous Fashion Student interested in Design, Curation and Event Planning
I’m a designer committed to challenging the dominant narratives within the fashion industry. My work pushes back against the narrow lens of Western ideals of what fashion should look like, how it should be made, and who it is made for. Instead, my designs center culture, heritage, and community.
Each piece I create is grounded in the traditions and stories of my people, made to be sustainable, inclusive, and accessible. My work exists not just as clothing, but as storytelling. I want people to feel connected to the narratives behind each design, and to pass those stories on just as our cultures have always done.
