I am a Jingle Dress and Fancy Shawl Dancer and have made my own and other's Regalia, each regalia from my first to my last is a part of my reconnection story with my community, culture and traditions.
My first Jingle Dress I made in 2022 with a blue satin ribbon and gold jingle cones. This dress holds a special place in my heart as it signifies the beginning of my dance journey.
My second jingle dress made in 2023 accompanied by my handmade beaded jewelry. This dress signifies not only a milestone in my dancing journey, as it was the first dress I wore to powwow but also in my sewing journey as I improved and learned new techniques from a mentor of mine.
My third Jingle Dress made in 2024, was made with a leather vest to accompany it. I made this dress after being given my spirit colours and continue to work and improve this dress more and more.
